Who are we?

Anyone who earns a living by working on the water harvesting seafood.

In 2019 there were only 2,737 licensed Watermen remaining in Virginia...many of those licenses are no longer active.

Our Mission:
To preserve and enhance our inherent right to earn a
living working on the water.
We are working to accomplish this through Involvement, Education, and Partnership.

  • Involvement in the regulatory process at the local, state and national level to ensure we are at the table and our voice is heard.
  • To help Educate ourselves, the public, officials, scientists and regulators by sharing the knowledge gained from countless hours of working the water.
  • Building Partnerships with industry peers, officials, environmental groups and anyone else willing to help protect our current and future ability to harvest seafood.
If you would like to get involved, join, or just help support our cause--please contact us!
